FTMC/FAPT Maintenance Session

This vehicle maintenance session will provide updates and technical insights from several key equipment and system manufacturers.
  1. Wabtec will present the latest developments in their Vapor door, ETO and CLASS systems.
  2. CarbonTek will address common issues found within both intake and after treatment systems offering guidance on identifying early warning signs and applying effective corrective measures. 
  3. Spheros will share information about new SC510 control system. 
  4. An overview of Braun’s new Dual Parallel Arm will also be presented.

FTA Drug & Alcohol Testing Program Updates

This session will highlight lessons learned from the recent FTA drug and alcohol program audit of nine FDOT sub-recipient agencies and will provide updates on topics such as oral fluid testing, the potential reclassification of marijuana, the addition of fentanyl to the DOT testing panel, and more. The session will conclude with the ever-popular “state of the state” - an analysis of the drug testing data from 2025.

Microtransit services are expanding across Florida as agencies explore flexible, on-demand mobility options. This session will provide a practical look at microtransit services operating in the state through a set of case studies from VoTran, Palm Tran, and Seminole County. Topics will include service planning, operational strategies, and costs, as well as implementation challenges. Session participants will leave with up-to-date lessons and considerations for designing, launching, and evaluating microtransit programs.
