AJ Lachimia serves as the Transit Planner for Manatee County Area Transit within the Public Works Department of Manatee County Government. In this role, he supports transit planning initiatives and helps advance transportation services for Manatee County residents and visitors. AJ earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2025 and brings a strong foundation in community and transportation planning, housing policy, environmental land use, development, administration, and long-range planning. His academic background and internship experience have provided him with a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing growing communities and transportation systems.
