About me
Antonio Harris has more than 17 years of experience in public transportation and currently serves as Transportation Director for STAR Transit, the fourth-largest public transit agency in North Texas. He also serves as key staff for the agency’s Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP), helping oversee safety programs, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day transit operations.Antonio began his career in frontline transit operations and worked his way into leadership, giving him hands-on experience across many areas of the industry. He has extensive experience in emergency response, accident investigations, service recovery, ADA compliance, and transit safety procedures.He also leads STAR Transit’s Guiding Star Mentor Program, where experienced operators mentor and support new employees as they transition into their roles. Antonio is certified in Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) Training Techniques and Reasonable Suspicion training, and he is passionate about building a strong safety culture, supporting employees, and improving mobility for the communities STAR Transit serves.
