About me
A proud Texan, Chris was born and raised in the Lone Star State. Chris received his undergraduate degree in Communication and his MA in Non-Profit Business Management from Abilene Christian University. Chris previously worked for Sears Methodist Retirement Systems, the largest non-profit organization in Texas, where he saw first-hand the effect of dementia and aging on our nation's older adults. Chris and his family moved to Florida in the Summer of 2012 and Chris worked briefly for the Mardy Fish Foundation before starting work for Senior Resource Association (SRA) in the Fall of 2012.As Transportation Director, Chris Stephenson oversees everything related to the Fixed Route, Door-To-Door, and Advantage Ride Programs for SRA. Chris loves seeing how transportation options and mobility can greatly improve the quality of life for all members of a community, from children to the elderly. Since joining the team at SRA, Chris is most proud of the "Urban System of the Year" Award from the Florida Public Transportation Association in 2017, 2022 and 2025, and the National "System of the Year" Award from the Community Transportation Association of America in 2018.
