About me
Douglas Steiger, is currently the Assistant Public Transportation Director for Pasco County Public Transportation. In his role, he oversees contract negotiation and management, the demand response service program, the agency transit asset management plan, and community outreach and education. Prior to joining the Public Transportation department in 2024, Doug was a Purchasing Agent for Pasco County for over 5 years, where he oversaw complex RFP and RSQ solicitations as well as major capital project contract awards. During that time, he achieved the credential of Certified Professional Public Buyer from the National Institute of Public Procurement as well as a certification in Construction Procurement. Doug received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Marketing from the University of Central Florida. In addition to his role with Pasco County, Doug is also the head coach of the J.W. Mitchell High School Boys Golf Team. Doug has a passion for serving others while taking a results-driven practical approach to ensure organizational success.
