About me
Jason Jackman is an Urban Planner with the City of Tampa’s Mobility Department, specializing in multimodal transportation planning and safety initiatives. He brings extensive experience in managing transportation safety campaigns, developing and evaluating micromobility programs, leading public engagement strategies, and designing community-focused safety education efforts. His background also includes project management, program analysis, communications development, and pedestrian and bicycle safety planning. More recently, Mr. Jackman has played a key role in advancing the City of Tampa’s Vision Zero program, aligning safety priorities with the citywide mobility plan to reduce severe and fatal traffic crashes. He also serves on the Transportation Research Board’s Communications and Public Engagement Standing Committee (AQB14), contributing to national dialogue on effective outreach in transportation planning. Mr. Jackman holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida. He also maintains multiple safety-related certifications, including a Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program Management Certificate through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Institute and certification as an FHWA STEP trainer.
